Dr. Yarah Haidar
As a board certified UCI head and neck surgeon, Dr. Yarah Haidar specializes in the surgical treatment of head and neck cancers, minimally invasive thyroid/parathyroid surgery, the surgical treatment of salivary gland disease, robot-assisted and microvascular surgery, and skull base surgery.
Dr. Haidar is particularly interested in improving head and neck cancer patients’ quality of life and the minimally invasive treatment of oropharyngeal cancers. She has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and numerous book chapters on head and neck surgery, demonstrating her strong interest in clinical research.
Dr. Yarah Haidar holds a medical degree from the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her residency in head and neck surgery was completed at the UCI Medical Center and her fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery and microvascular reconstruction was completed at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Haidar has made presentations at numerous national meetings and has earned multiple research awards. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at the UCI School of Medicine, she enjoys assisting medical students and residents in advancing their clinical and research endeavors.
